About Me:

I'm lost. Sometimes when I'm caught up in the hurricane, I can just barely make out a rooted tree. Sometimes, I can feel the tree anchored to the ground, disengaged from the storm's chaos. I've even held on to the tree, only to lose my grip holding someone else's weight or by my own lack of will. I want to burrow my roots as the tree has done, to save myself from the wind. I admire the tree. I wish to shelter those caught in the storm as the tree has done for me. We are all fruits of the same tree, and our seeds would not spread without the wind. Be tree!

Only within the past year have I become aware of my own spirituality. Although not an atheist, I was an alienated product of Christian culture. I’ve always had a tendency towards Gaia theory (although I never knew it at the time). Somehow through the abyss of Wikipedian research, I stumbled across the development of Neoplatonism. I would attribute Plotinus to the median of my current worldview. Much of my research surrounds the origin of his philosophy (Plato) and the subsequent methods used to grasp his form of gnosis (ie. Hermeticism). Ken Wilber's Four Quadrants theory has been vital for my dissection of spiritual movements.
